Bromance means a close but non sexual relationship between two men. It is understood that it is more than just being "close". There have been times when the extreme friendship between the stars inspired us to have the same in real life as well. The "Charlie brothers" from the "Two and a Half Men", Batman-Robin, Abhishek-John from "Dostana" and many more. Bromances around the world have been the topic of discussion and since then Bollywood also began to have 'bromance' element in movies. We are enlisting few of the popular bromances around the globe which charmed us with their blistering man to man convo, flaming chemistry shared by charismatic men is what actually lured all of us thoroughly.

1. Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani



These two had redefined the meaning of friendship and bromance alike and that is why they top the list. They were so close to each other during the shooting of 'Friends' TV show, and even today they are in touch and have been best friends for years. Be it Chandler's wittiness and sarcasm or Joey's love for food and  charm for women. They both had managed to win our hearts somehow. Their onscreen chemistry was loved more than their humour. Being there for each other and having each other's back. They both taught  us that one can find their soulmate even in friendship.

2. Sam-Castiel-Dean



The 'Supernatural' show ran for almost 10 years and is renewed for yet another season premiering on this coming month, October 7th. The two Winchester brothers hunting down the most dreadful creatures around the world is what made this show special. The scary just got sexy, and even more interesting when the Castiel who happens to be mythical angel on this show joined them. This golden trio were praised by everyone. Everyone who follows horror and fantasy drama is familiar with their name today. The show was different providing fable and supernatural elements which was quite distinct than any other sitcoms or soap opera, thus managed to get not only attention but many of the devoted fandoms.

3. Amar-Prem



This movie released in 1994 is still regarded as the best bromances of Bollywood. The respective roles of Amar-Prem portrayed by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan gave us laughing disorders. This light-hearted comedy drama film involved the spontaneous hilarious situations leading to trouble which makes us remember this movie and the leading actors again and again. So many of us wish to see this pair again on silver screen, may be in near future it will happen someday. Their comfort rapport and connection with each other during the shooting of the movie and even today they are still there for each other which proves their bromance is so real offscreen as well.

4. Dil Chahta Hai



This movie is as evergreen as the starcast and the script itself. The movie starred Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan in leads and was one of its kind during 2000s. This movie created waves of popularity among youngsters of that year. It started the trend of going on a trip with friends, dealing with relationships, securing that childhood friendship for a longer period of time. It earned appreciation for its unique portrayal of friendship among the three namely Aakash, Sameer and Sid.  Even today this movie is a delight to watch.

Released in 2008 especially aimed at rock music, youth and their aspirations in life set an example for youngsters as you've got one life, live it for yourself, accomplish your dreams while you're young. The bromance of Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny was the sole reason to watch this movie. The music of the movie was already popular among all. The disputes in friendship, apologising and reuniting, isn't it all about profound friendship? Their bromance makes us realise no matter how badly you fought, how bitter the friendships have become, find a way to bring back all those fond memories and  come together after a period of separation. 6. Bunny and Avi



Bunny and Avi are best friends for life but harsh moments in their life begins to appear when Bunny leaves for abroad and left his friendship with Avi as well. They both reunite  during a wedding of their close friend Aditi.The movie taught us that lack of communication in any relationship can make us drift apart from our beloved ones. Keep your friends close, but best friends closer and don't forget to disturb them every then and now.

7. Jai-Veeru



How can we not mention this iconic pair which probably brought the trend of bromance in Bollywood? Their comic gags in jail, helping and teasing each other, Jai's impressive sarcasm and Veeru's tactics to charm over Basanti is all what made it amazing. The song " Ye dosti hum nahi todenge' is not only meaningful and memorable but cherishes the good old days with your best buddies. Every year, friendship day is incomplete without mentioning them as they had truly devoted their self for each other.

8. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara



Though this movie focused more on travelling, it also brought many life lessons that we need to learn such as facing our fears, valuing relationships more than money, and travelling of course. The trio of Kabir, Imran and Arjun played by Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan respectively reminds us of our college days and those promises made during last semester that yeah, we all are gonna stay in touch which apparently never seems to happen. Once in a while, you must go out for a trip with your close friends to know each other better and to sustain that bonding. The three managed to teach us these lessons.

9. Aman-Rohit



We all need a friend who can teach us how to woo a woman in just six days. Well, who wouldn't want a friend who'll give love tips and tricks every now and then? The gimmick really worked well for Rohit played by Saif Ali Khan and his mentor Aman played by Shahrukh Khan. The movie which was released in 2003 is a romantic comedy drama film and what captivated our interest is the sizzling chemistry shared by the two actors on-offscren. This movie was the beginning where 'Gay' stuff actually got notice of many, remember 'Kanta Ben'? The two actors have been the best host for Filmfare awards many times. Both of them share a good rapport in real life as well.

This bromance post cannot end without mentioning dazzling duo namely Barney and Ted played Neil Patrick Harris and Josh Radnor respectively from "How I Met your Mother". Both of them are desperate for love and falls for the same girl Robin. But what makes them special is their unique friendship. Giving each other dating tips, rescuing when stuck in deep trouble and amidst failed relationships and many times they have spoken the bitter truth of life sportingly. Both of them had always craved for unconditional love, tries to find the "Perfect woman" throughout the series. Whereas Barney teaches everyone "How to live" and practices ways to become "Awesome" everyday and may be this is why their bromance is LEGEN....wait for it.. LEGENDARY.!
